Intensive Flamenco Cajón Programs
These courses are designed for whom want to deepen their knowledge and improve their technique and musicianship
Flamenco Music emerges as a result of the fusion of Gypsy, Arab, Jewish and Andalusian cultures. It is a profoundly emotional, intense and very expressive art conveyed through a style of lyrical singing, passionate dancing and performed by musical instruments such as the flamenco guitar, the flamenco cajón, the castanets, the traditional hand clapping and the “Taconeo” step dancing.
The Flamenco Cajón was introduced in the 1970’s by Paco de Lucía through his percussionist Rubém Dantas. The instrument is derived from the Peruvian Cajón and has evolved into a new and essential element of the Flamenco Tradition.
